Club Balai Isabel
Club Balai Isabel is a splendid spot to have a calm and nature filled vacation in the lakeshore of Taal in Batangas. The resort is an hour drive from Makati and can be zeroed in at barrio Banga in the town of Talisay.
The resort is tastefully landscaped with huge grounds to stroll around filled with trees. Among them are hardwood and bamboo trees, different fruit trees like mango, santol, duhat (plum), chico, caimito (star apple) and langka (jackfruit). And home to a number of species of birds.
Plus the stunning view of the lake and Taal Volcano, which are picturesque and breathtaking. It is a haven place to unwind, relax and be with nature.
Furthermore, an adventure trip to the volcano itself. One can take a boat ride across the lake and hike or horseback, on top of exploring the volcano island.
To cool you down with the sweltering heat, an infinity pool is centrally located between the clubhouse and the lakeshore. Actually there are a number of pools around the resort including a kiddie pool with a slide and a mobi-deep (floating pool).
If you are into fishing, you can get into the lake and pay a minimal fee for the equipment and the fish caught. So if you are planning to visit the resort soon, don't forget to pack your fishing gear with you.
For an active break, how about kayaking, sailing or get a banana boat or a Jet Ski ride. Outdoor sports like basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton and a huge running space to burn those unwanted fats. However if you prefer an indoor game, it has a couple of billiard tables and dartboards. And for the little ones, a playground is at hand at Balai Isabel.
Terraza Cafe serves local and international dishes. Food is good, but service is quite slow. Try the Grilled Maliputo fish, and Batangas Bulalo. Or you may opt for their buffet during weekends. If you haven't tried the Kapeng Barako why not have a cup. And if coffee is not your type, get a cup of hot Tablea Tsokolate Ala E.
For accommodation needs of would be guest, there are handful of choices from hotel rooms, suites, villas and cottages. All accommodations are equipped with a private toilet and bath with hot shower. Each room has an unobstructed view of the lake.
The Villas are spacious and cozy. It has a living room with 2 daybeds, while the bedroom comes with 2 queen-size beds. It also comes with a kitchen as well as a cooking area. Well, if you intend to bring your own food, which is okay with the resort, a wet market with fresh fish is just ten minutes away from the resort.
Moreover, the resort has come to be a treasured spot for wedding venues. During our visit there were at least 2 wedding preparations. Well, for those out there who are fishing for a romantic spot to hold their special I DO, it is a place to consider.
